Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications and blueprints. You will work with various materials and utilize different welding techniques to ensure high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Utilize plasma cutting tools for precise metal cutting and shaping.
- Conduct soldering tasks as required for specific projects.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards throughout the fabrication process.
- Perform pipe threading as needed for plumbing or structural applications.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Skills
- Proficient in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.
- Experience with plasma cutting and soldering is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with operating cranes and forklifts safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards relevant to welding and fabrication practices.
- Proficient in the use of power tools necessary for metalworking tasks.
