Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the vital link between our company and our customers, ensuring timely, safe, and professional delivery of produce. Core Responsibilities
- Route Execution: Safely drive commercial vehicles (e.g., box trucks, tractor-trailers) on local or regional routes.
- Cargo Handling: Manually load and unload produce using hand carts, ramps, and pallet jacks.
- Temperature Control: Monitor and adjust refrigerated truck (reefer) temperatures to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage.
- Compliance: Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, logging DOT compliance and hours of service.
- Customer Service: Verify delivery manifests with clients, handle invoice collections, and address any order discrepancies. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
Typical Qualifications & Requirements
- License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A, B, or C depending on truck size) and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Medical: Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and obtain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Physical Demands: Capacity to regularly lift, push, and pull heavy cargo (often between 50-75 lbs) in various weather conditions and refrigerated environments.
