In this vital role, you'll provide personalized support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Working in an assisted living facilities, your efforts will make a meaningful difference every day.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
- Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, employing behavior management techniques to promote safety and well-being
- Assist with medications accurately following prescribed schedules.
- Engage residents through social activities and companionship to foster a vibrant community environment
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas
- Use EMR systems efficiently to document care activities, incidents, and resident progress
Requirements
- Valid certification as a CNA, PCA, or RA with current state licensure or registration where applicable
- Experience working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's/dementia care principles and behavior management strategies
- Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism
- Familiarity with vital signs measurement and medication administration protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills such as EMR systems use or advanced caregiving techniques
