Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skilled Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of transforming blueprints and schematics into tangible structures by performing a variety of hands-on tasks across different phases of construction projects. Your energy, precision, and teamwork will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including material handling and equipment organization
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as framing, drywall installation, roofing, and concrete finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute project specifications accurately
- Perform demolition, excavation, masonry work, and concrete forming as required for various project phases
- Support carpentry tasks including door hanging, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and framing
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements
- Assist with plumbing, electrical work, stucco application, caulking, and other specialty trades as needed
- Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation or material transportation
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction management principles
- Experience with construction estimating and inspection processes
- Skilled in various construction techniques including masonry, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, welding, and restoration
- Ability to perform concrete finishing and formwork with precision
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software or similar digital markup tools is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting on-site issues
