Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely according to established safety protocols and procedures
- Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and floor care including buffing and polishing techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
