The Vehicle & Transportation Coordinator will be Responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, and compliance of all agency vehicles. Ensure vehicles are safe, properly documented, and ready for daily operations. Serves as backup for home maintenance support as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain vehicle records (registrations, insurance, mileage logs, safety documentation)
- Conduct weekly inspections for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance
- Ensure vehicles have required emergency equipment
- Track and schedule routine and preventative maintenance
- Maintain vehicle maintenance logs and spreadsheets
- Obtain handicap placards and ensure compliance
- Train staff on vehicle safety and documentation
- Monitor staff compliance with vehicle use
- Submit required documentation to administrative offices
- Coordinate repairs and report major issues
- Provide regular fleet status reports
- Schedules any maintenance not qualified to complete notifying Director of any issues.
- Follows all safety rules and procedures according to company policies and procedures.
- Provides reports of work progress and completion to supervisor.
- Provides Administrative Management Office with all requested maintenance and repair logs.
- Runs all required safety vehicle drills as directed by AHS, keeps minutes and logs.
- Does periodic safety checks/inspections for staff that need retraining, documenting status.
- Gather paperwork and submit to Director of Finance for all vehicles purchased through NMDOT.
- Lends input on staff performance evaluations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Able to be on-call and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
- Maintain acceptable driving record and eligibility requirements necessary to drive agency vehicles.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred.
- 1 year of maintenance and transportation experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, report writing, interne, etc.
- Successful completion of the post-offer process, including criminal background check and clearance from the Office of Recipient Rights.
- Completion of all required training in the specified timeframe.
Pay: From $13.01 per hour
