Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, product inquiries, and store navigation
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Upsell products and promote store specials or new merchandise to enhance customer experience and sales volume
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including stocking registers with supplies and promotional materials
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing shelves, restocking items, and ensuring attractive product displays
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock counts and product replenishment
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team support roles
- Knowledge of retail math, upselling techniques, merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail sales transactions
- Ability to provide friendly customer service while maintaining professionalism in busy environments
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and effective communication strategies in customer interactions
