Position Overview:
The Data Analyst II is responsible for analyzing large, multi-source datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and operational risks that impact business performance. This role supports data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process improvement by performing validation, reconciliation, and remediation activities across systems. The position also helps translate analytical findings into clear recommendations, maintain technical documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational, compliance, and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily analysis of large, multi‑source datasets to identify anomalies, trends, and operational risks.
- Apply pattern recognition techniques to surface actionable insights from structured and semi‑structured data.
- Execute data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks across upstream and downstream systems.
- Design and maintain repeatable analysis workflows to support operational and regulatory needs.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, prioritized technical recommendations.
- Understand business workflows and identify policy tuning and improvements
- Contribute to the improvement of analytical frameworks, controls, and best practices.
- Collaborate to Identify root causes of data quality issues and drive corrective actions through execution.
- Perform data cleanup activities using SQL, Python, and Unix tooling while preserving auditability.
- Establish and follow data quality controls to prevent recurrence of identified issues.
- Document remediation steps and outcomes with precision and traceability.
- Apply security fundamentals when handling sensitive financial and customer data.
- Demonstrate judgment in determining appropriate data access, transfer methods, and storage practices.
- Identify potential security or compliance risks during analysis and escalate appropriately.
- Operate with a “least privilege” and “need‑to‑know” mindset in all technical activities.
- Produce clear, concise, and complete technical documentation for analyses, processes, and findings.
- Maintain documentation that supports operational continuity, audits, and peer review.
- Ensure documentation reflects current system behavior and analytical logic.
- Deliver timely, accurate technical updates to internal stakeholders under tight deadlines.
- Translate complex analytical results into stakeholder‑appropriate language.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams including engineering, operations, and compliance.
Skills:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in finance, bank, loan, or fintech industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Finance preferred
- SQL and Python experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suites
- Team oriented

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
