Roberts PolyPro is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to accurately process orders for shipment as well as receive materials against purchase orders. The responsibilities include preparing items for shipment, accurately verifying all incoming materials, utilizing computer for tracking inventory and order processing. This position will report to the Purchasing Manager and sit in the Roberts PolyPro office in Charlotte, North Carolina. This job will work a standard M-F first shift schedule, with overtime and weekends if needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Roberts Polypro is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to accurately process orders for shipment as well as receive materials against purchase orders. The position reports to the Purchasing Manager. The responsibilities include preparing items for shipment, accurately verifying all incoming materials, utilizing computer for tracking inventory and order processing.
- Responsible for organization and operation of warehouse shipping and receiving.
- Maintains shipping and receiving logs and maintains files of shipping records.
- Prepares packing lists, bills of lading and other shipping documentation as necessary. Interact with Customer Service to prepare shipments daily.
- Assures compliance with workplace safety procedures. Limits access to loading docks by unauthorized individuals.
- Receive items by comparing packing lists, with item number on purchase order and the actual part. Compare specifications, drawings, and quantities. Notify the supervisor of any discrepancies. Tags parts as needed, move parts to proper location. Maintains records in Syteline software systems.
- Receive, load, and track all equipment job carts for Assembly, accurately tracking inventory from receiving through assigning to individual jobs. Assign parts in inventory to job carts accurately and physically move from inv to job cart.
- Close outside processing jobs and issue parts to machine builds.
- Maintain all inventory records for machines, spare parts, plastic parts, and raw materials.
- Ship items by comparing customer order with actual items being shipped to ensure correct items/lot numbers are shipped.
- Track and record all inventory movements in Syteline.
- Maintain clean work space in warehouse.
- Perform and/or manage inventory cycle counts daily, as well as full physical inventory counts when required for raw materials, plastic parts, and equipment parts.
- Interact with and enter data in Syteline ERP system
- Assists in stockroom as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School/GED
- Detailed knowledge of warehouse procedures
- Administrative skills to include proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to partner with employees and vendors and maintain a positive attitude
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Experience with inventory control and job cost ERP systems, Syteline preferred
- Accuracy & attention to detail
