Who We're Looking For
This role requires prior Law Enforcement experience — no exceptions. We're looking for a retired or transitioning LE professional who brings command presence, sound judgment, and de-escalation instincts earned on the job, and who's ready to put that experience to work in a calmer, more predictable environment than patrol.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekends and holidays off
- No overnight coverage, no rotating shifts
Your Mission
Our School Security Agent is a steady, visible presence on campus — providing armed protection and concierge-level service for a private educational environment while holding the same standard of professionalism and discretion our residential and executive clients expect.
- Provide armed campus security and concierge-level protection services for a private educational environment
- Maintain situational awareness and access control across the campus
- Interface daily with students, parents, faculty, and staff with warmth and professionalism
- Coordinate with school administration and the broader security team on protocols and any incident response
- Represent Black Box Security with the discretion and professionalism our clients expect and our agents are known for
What You Bring
- Prior Law Enforcement experience REQUIRED
- Current CA BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
- Current CA BSIS Guard Card
- Current California CCW Permit
- Valid California driver's license
- Professional presence and client-facing communication skills suited to a school community
- Composure and sound judgment in dynamic situations, with a high level of situational awareness
- Physical fitness and the ability to kneel, carry up to 50 lbs, bend, and stand or walk for extended periods
- Previous security, executive protection, or school security experience preferred
Compensation & Growth
- $38–$40 per hour ($79,000–$83,000 annualized)
