Parish Administrator
Position Summary: The part-time (20 hours/week) Parish Administrator works with the Rector, Vestry (Executive Board), and parish leadership in organizing and implementing parish ministries. Works independently under the direction of the Rector to organize and implement smooth flow of administrative tasks, internal and external parish communications, and facility function.
Accountability: Reports to the Rector (Priest-in-charge)

· Ability to multitask, prioritize work and respond flexibly to changes in a rapidly changing environment subject to interruptions and emergencies
· Proficient in computer operations, including Word, Excel, and QuickBooks
· Ability to write clearly and grammatically
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Performs receptionist duties including answering phone, responding to requests for assistance, opening and distributing mail and email.
· Greets visitors and alerts Rector to any pastoral needs
· Manages parish database and associated records
· Creates parish publications, including weekly services and special occasion bulletins, weekly calendar and announcements, weekly newsletter, and additional materials as required by the parish and Tarleton activities.
· Manages day-to-day financial operations alongside Parish Treasurer, including data entry, bill payment, report generation, bank deposits and payroll.
· Works with Financial Services provider to coordinate payroll disbursements, 1099's/w-2's
· Works with parishioners to report/track all grants received for reimbursement
· Manages correspondence for gifts received
· Manages parish contributions to Church Pension Fund
· Performs personnel functions including creation of Sunday server schedules, hiring nursery workers (when applicable), and overseeing janitors
· Recruits and oversees work of office volunteers
· Manages facility master calendar, including requests for facility use
· Provides secretarial support for Rector
· Assists in managing the Rector's calendar
· Coordinates response for baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc. with Rector
· Responds to and documents requests for assistance from community; makes referrals as appropriate; manages pledge accounts with Grace Place Ministries
· Maintains neat, orderly and attractive office environment
· Collaborates with Web Administrator/Social Media Personnel to maintain current website
· Orders and obtains supplies
· Interfaces with vendors, facility users and suppliers; receives shipments
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High school graduate or equivalent; college or business school, preferred
· Three years of experience in similar customer focused work environment
· Emotional stamina to work in stressful environment
· Able to handle confidentiality
· Must submit to background check
Physical/Emotional Standards:
· Work is generally sedentary with occasional standing, walking, bending, turning
· Occasionally will left and carry objects weighing 15-25 pounds
· Frequent reaching and handling
· Talking, hearing, and visual acuity essential.
Time Required:
· 20 hours/week, some of which is flexible.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
