American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a WA or compact license, Epic experience, and prior travel nursing experience.

Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
-
Teaching hospital setting with 200-300 births per month
-
Cares for patients with labor and preterm labor diagnoses, including high risk antepartum and low risk labor and delivery
-
Duties include circulating, OB-GYN care, pre-op and post-op care, scrub duties, and couplet care
-
Attends all deliveries including high risk deliveries and GYN surgeries
-
Utilizes fetal monitoring, IUPC placement and calibration, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps
-
Administers blood and blood products, magnesium sulfate, insulin, and heparin therapies
-
Staffing ratio of 1:1 to 1:3
-
Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30

Floating required to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set
-
Floating between sister facilities within the state may be required
-
Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration

Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required

Previous travel nursing experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate

ACLS certification preferred
-
Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line maintenance (CVC/PICC), and anticoagulation therapy
-
Experience with high risk delivery assistance, C-section circulation and recovery, and sterile vaginal exams
-
Skilled in epidural anesthesia support and pain management, including IV PCA use
-
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Local candidates accepted at the standard bill rate, with a 50-mile local radius rule

Former permanent employees of Providence facilities may return as travelers after a 3-month separation period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
