Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and play
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, needs, and concerns
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care tasks for infants and toddlers
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and pediatric first aid required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and safety protocols
