The Inside Sales role is an entry-level position within the pump rental business. This role is responsible for developing customer relationships, processing orders, tracking equipment availability, coordinating logistics, billing sales, and addressing invoice inquiries. The position works closely with sales management and the outside sales team to deliver excellent customer service and support.
Essential Functions
Provide efficient support to the sales team by processing invoices, contracts, credit applications, and sales reporting
Utilize company systems and tools to document, track, record, and follow up on all sales activity in an accurate and timely manner
Manage accounts, generate leads, and close sales via phone communication
Use strong verbal and written communication skills to support sales and management teams
Coordinate the receiving, organization, tracking, and movement of equipment and attachments
Maintain accurate inventory records
Assist customers by phone or in-person with completing necessary paperwork for transactions
Support the Project Operations Manager as needed

Required Education and Experience
Experience processing detailed paperwork
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Working knowledge of computer systems used in daily operations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability and willingness to go outside as needed to review equipment inventory to support sales orders
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

Primarily based in a front desk or office environment
Climate-controlled workspace with computers, phones, and CRM systems
Frequent interaction with customers, vendors, and internal staff
Regular visits to repair shop and equipment yard to coordinate operations
Exposure to moderate noise, dust, grease, and heavy machinery during shop visits
Outdoor exposure may include varying weather conditions
Requires awareness of safety conditions in active environments
Must be comfortable transitioning between office and operational settings
Strong communication, multitasking, and coordination skills required
Travel Required
Some overnight travel may be required
Physical Demands
Moderate physical activity required
Occasional lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 50 pounds
Bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching may be required
Movement between office, shop, and yard environments
Extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking
Manual dexterity required for computer and administrative tasks
