Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining various areas within the facility.
- Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to ensure all surfaces are clean and presentable.
- Handle commercial cleaning tasks including restroom sanitation, trash removal, and surface disinfection.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly and used efficiently.
- Support porter duties by moving furniture or equipment as needed for events or maintenance activities.
- Follow safety protocols while performing industrial cleaning tasks to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Carpet cleaning- truck mounted - be able to use system, do floods
- Stripping and waxing floors
- Tile and grout cleaning
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing methods.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and facility occupants.
