Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly service
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS to process transactions efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices
- Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring quality standards are met consistently
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Uphold health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems like Toast is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and food preparation techniques in a café or retail setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the workspace, and lift moderate loads as needed
- Experience in the food industry or retail environment is beneficial but not required
