Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, ensuring timely completion of cleaning tasks across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
- Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff to uphold standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality excellence
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and facilities to verify adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement
- Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain operational readiness
- Implement cleaning protocols for various surfaces including floors, carpets, tiles, and industrial-grade cleaning tasks to ensure optimal hygiene
- Enforce health and safety regulations related to janitorial work, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment use
- Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance and front desk to address guest requests or facility issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong background in janitorial or industrial cleaning techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing housekeeping teams or similar staff in a hospitality environment
- Knowledge of floor care procedures including carpet cleaning, polishing, waxing, and other surface maintenance methods
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards for cleanliness, safety protocols, and guest service expectations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and coordinate with other departments
- Prior experience in housekeeping management is highly desirable
