Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical wiring, lighting, heating, cooling systems, and structural components.
- Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
- Conduct residential painting projects and minor carpentry work to maintain the property's aesthetic appeal.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to test electrical circuits and automate building systems.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset history.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests related to facility issues or repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or hotel maintenance roles with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, welding techniques, and residential painting.
- Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters and PLCs confidently for troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for managing work orders and maintenance logs.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities upkeep.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and guests effectively.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to oversee maintenance projects or junior staff.
