Duties
- Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, taking orders.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and manage the cash drawer with integrity and attention to detail
- Upsell products to customers
- Maintain knowledge of stores menu
- Stock sodas, organize displays, and ensure the checkout area is clean and inviting
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking and product replenishment while adhering to safety standards
- Washing dishes at the end of the night
- Help making rice and burgers if help is needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant/ fast food environments is preferred, especially with cashiering or cashier operations
- Strong communication skills are highly valued for engaging diverse customers effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Ability to handle cash drawer balancing, retail math calculations, and cash handling procedures confidently
- Willing to drive to Fort Irwin, a 45 minute drive from Barstow .
