About the Role
This is a hands-on Superintendent position responsible for overseeing commercial construction projects from site mobilization through to completion. You'll lead all field operations, manage subcontractors, maintain project schedules, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day site operations across commercial construction projects
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
- Maintaining project schedules and driving work to meet key milestones
- Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications
- Conducting site inspections and resolving field issues proactively
- Collaborating closely with Project Managers, clients, architects, and consultants
- Managing site logistics, sequencing, and inspections throughout the construction process
- Leading subcontractor meetings and maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience as a Superintendent with a commercial General Contractor
- Strong background delivering commercial construction projects, including tenant improvements, renovations, interiors, and ground-up developments
- Proven ability to lead subcontractors and manage multiple trades on active jobsites
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and quality control
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is advantageous
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to projects across Northern Virginia
Salary & Benefits
- $110,000 - $130,000 base salary (depending on experience)
