Summary/Objective
Cut and join metals and other materials in the process of assembling the products of the company. Operate welding equipment to fabricate mechanical assemblies with a great deal of precision. The ideal candidate will also a great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.
Essential Functions

1. Proficient in TIG & MIG welding (Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel)
2. Ability to read and interpret drawings
3. Knowledge safety standards and use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
4. Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, grinders etc.)
6. Deftness and attention to detail
7. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
8. Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
9. Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
10. Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
11. Weld components using manual welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
13. Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws and correct imperfections.
15. Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes.
16. Track production on schedule boards.
18. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in an industrial fabrication environment.

The employee must regularly lift 45 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
1. Proven experience as welder
2. Previous production experience
3. Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
