Pit Foreman:
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Pit Foreman who can lead a crew while remaining actively involved in the work.
This is not a desk-management position. The right person will understand pit operations, heavy equipment, production, mining, maintenance, and repairs well enough to organize the day’s work and step into an operating position when needed. You should be comfortable conducting the morning meeting, assigning employees and equipment, adjusting the plan when conditions change, and following up to make sure the work is completed correctly.
This role is a good fit for someone who is skilled in training and coaching employees, addressing routine performance issues, coordinating maintenance and breakdown response, reinforcing safety requirements, and keeping the Pit Manager informed about production, staffing, equipment, and site conditions.
You should apply if you:
- Have strong practical knowledge of pit, mining, heavy
-equipment, or aggregate operations.
- Can lead employees clearly and directly without avoiding difficult conversations.
- Notice problems early and take responsibility for following them through.
- Can balance operating equipment or helping with repairs while maintaining awareness of the entire crew.
- Communicate promptly when priorities conflict, work falls behind, or additional support is needed.
- Take safety, equipment care, material quality, and reliable production seriously.
-Current MSHA Certification is a bonus but not a requirement.
-Must have clean MVR and be insurable to drive a company vehicle
-Must be able to lift up 60 pounds.
Pay: $28.61 - $32.11 per hour
