Specific responsibilities include:
- Develops and executes the annual sales strategy in alignment with the company’s annual operating plan, driving the implementation of targeted sales initiatives that support revenue growth, market expansion, and overall business objectives.
- Directs and supports a global network of sales professionals, independent representatives, and agents, ensuring effective execution of sales strategies, successful pursuit of international government tenders, and attainment of the company’s annual revenue and growth targets.
- Ensures the global sales team is equipped with the product expertise, sales process discipline, and consultative selling skills necessary to effectively execute sales strategies and achieve revenue objectives.
- Drives operational discipline by enforcing sales policies, standardized processes, and industry best practices that enhance productivity, customer experience, and revenue performance.
- Champions the effective use of customer relationship management (CRM) and sales enablement technologies, optimizing workflows, strengthening sales execution, and enhancing organizational productivity.
- Conducts semi-annual and annual performance evaluations, providing coaching, feedback, and development plans that drive employee growth, accountability, and high performance.
- Partners closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute strategic messaging, branding initiatives, digital content, social media campaigns, trade show programs, and webinars that drive market awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth.
- Leads the company’s participation in industry events and trade shows, leveraging networking, customer engagement, and market intelligence to support strategic sales initiatives.
- Analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to develop and recommend sales strategies that drive revenue growth, increase market share, and strengthen the company’s competitive position.
- Ability to travel globally up to 50% of the time.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field
- MBA or related master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales or Sales Management at a heavy equipment manufacturer
- Extensive product knowledge and/or experience in a related field preferred
- National and International sales experience, able to manage internal and external sales force
- Evidence of success in a leadership role managing technical sales and commercial negotiations
- Self-motivated and disciplined, highly organized and goal-oriented meeting timelines and deliverables
- Exceptional communication skills to include public speaking, presentations, verbal and writing skills
- Experience traveling domestically and internationally
- Technically sound in customer relationship management systems (CRM) such as Sales Force, exceptional knowledge of social media, able to use communication tools including GoToMeeting, WebEx, LiveMeeting, and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Supervisory Responsibility - the position is responsible for the direct supervision of the Sales Team members.
Work Environment – This is an on-site position. This position operates in both a professional office setting and a manufacturing/production environment. Regular use of computers, phones, and other office equipment is required, along with periodic presence on the production floor to support operations and customer needs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - this is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel – this position requires the ability to travel globally as needed up to 50% of the time.
