Position: Registered Nurse Manager
Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $68,000 to $72,000 (based on experience)
MedStaffers, LLC is hiring a Registered Nurse Manager in the Altoona, Blair County office. Qualified applicants should be a PA registered nurse, have solid experience with skilled home health or private duty assessments, and be familiar with the PA DOH Chapter 601 regulations and Chapter 51 Regulations. The RN manager is responsible for the growth and success of the Altoona office. Oversight and regular client visits (intakes and re-certifications) are expected as well as hiring appropriate field staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Receives and evaluates referrals for home care and home health cases
2. Conducts intakes that include background information, diagnosis and services required for care
3. Completes 90-day recertification for skilled care
4. Communicates with physicians to review orders and report concerns
5. Supervises nursing staff and completes competency checks
6. Identifies and verifies insurance coverage and receives authorization to provide care for client
7. Directs licensed and unlicensed staff in following the client’s plan of care and provides any training that is required
8. Participates case conference and PAC meetings
9. Manages all skilled home health cases
10. Conducts quarterly record reviews and communicates findings and recommendations to the assigned Regional Executive Director
11. Assists in the screening and interviewing process and makes recommendations for employment
12. Assists in the orientation of new staff members
13. Assists with planning, implementing and evaluating continuing education programs
14. Assists in the formulation, revision, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures, and strategic goals and objectives
15. Complies with professional standards and principles
16. Participates in public relations and community activities that promote MedStaffers role as an effective member of the health care delivery system
17. Provides clinical guidance and resources to employees and clients
18. Travel is expected and can be moderate to heavy at times
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid PA Registered Nurse License
- CPR certified
- One year of experience with home health/private duty assessments
- One year of supervisory experience
- Valid Drivers License and automobile insurance
- PA Criminal and Child Abuse Background checks
