Position Summary
The Industrial Technician is responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing pump station components and related systems based on project specifications. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and materials such as HDPE, fiberglass, PVC, and metal, and takes pride in producing quality work safely and efficiently.
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
· Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to meet project specifications.
· Fabricate plastic and metal components for pump station assembly and installation.
· Assemble, install, and repair PVC, ductile iron, and HDPE piping systems.
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in the shop or at job sites.
· Support pump station installation, repair, and service work in the factory and in the field as needed.
· Operate equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts safely and responsibly.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.
· Communicate with the Production Manager and team members to address issues and keep work moving.
· Meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
· Take on other related duties as needed to support production and installation work.
What We’re Looking For
· Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with tools and equipment
· Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
· Experience with welding, plumbing, fabrication, or mechanical assembly is strongly preferred
· Experience with lift stations or pump systems is a plus, but not required
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
· Basic math, communication, and problem-solving skills
· Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to safe, quality work
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when required
· Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing 25 to 50 pounds or more
· Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
· Ability to perform welding and other repetitive manual tasks for extended periods
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
