Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized HR and Business Administrator to join our team! As a senior leader, the HR and Business Administrator will oversee all aspects of the business operations of our Ministry. Areas of responsibility include budget and finance, human resources, IT, contracts and contracted services, and risk management. This vital role combines human resources expertise with comprehensive office management, ensuring smooth daily operations and fostering a positive, productive work environment. The ideal candidate will be energized by multitasking, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Your proactive approach will support team development, streamline administrative processes, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and confidentiality of sensitive information
- Oversee payroll processing using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar financial tools
- Handle vendor management tasks—review contracts, negotiate terms, and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and service providers
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage filing systems, and utilize spreadsheets for budgeting and financial tracking
- Coach and mentor staff, including Administrative, Bookkeeper, Human Resources, Facilities and IT.
Requirements
- Proven experience in office administration, human resources, or related roles with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Platforms and familiarity with spreadsheets for data management
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar financial tools; knowledge of bookkeeping and payroll processes essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high ethical standards
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Knowledge of human resources practices including onboarding, employee relations, and compliance standards is preferred
- Technical proficiency in office management tools and financial software to support daily operations
