Associate VeterinarianCastle Rock Pet Doc – Sun City West, Arizona
Castle Rock Pet Doc is seeking a compassionate, collaborative Associate Veterinarian to join our growing, independently owned practice in Sun City West, Arizona.
We are building a team-oriented hospital culture centered on excellent medicine, strong client relationships, adaptability, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to lifelong learning. We're looking for a veterinarian who communicates well, enjoys working collaboratively with support staff, and genuinely cares about both patients and the people who love them.
Our practice cares for small animals, avian and exotic patients, as well as urgent and emergency cases, providing our doctors with a diverse and rewarding caseload. We embrace an integrative approach to veterinary medicine, combining the best of Western medicine with Eastern philosophies to provide individualized, whole-patient care. Experience with avian or exotic species and/or integrative medicine is a plus, but not required—we value curiosity, open-mindedness, and a desire to continue growing as a clinician.
Our Medical Director, Dr. Lorna Lanman, has dedicated more than 50 years to caring for animals while continually expanding her own knowledge and skills. She regularly attends continuing education conferences, explores emerging technologies and treatment modalities, and enjoys bringing new ideas back to the practice. Just as importantly, she believes every veterinarian brings unique experiences and perspectives to the table. She enjoys mentoring fellow veterinarians through collaborative case discussions and hands-on teaching while continuing to learn alongside her colleagues. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or a newer graduate, you'll find an environment where knowledge is shared, questions are encouraged, and professional growth is a team effort.
We value collaboration and mentorship while respecting each veterinarian's clinical judgment, professional experience, and individual approach to patient care. Our goal is to provide support without sacrificing autonomy.
Our hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic, surgical, and patient-monitoring technology that supports efficient, high-quality medicine and allows us to continue expanding the services we offer our patients.
