Cardiovascular Medicine with Optional Wound Care

Join a growing, patient-focused practice in Owasso as an Advanced Practice Provider. We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with cardiovascular experience—or a strong interest in developing expertise in cardiovascular medicine.
This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient care in a supportive clinical environment while working with a high degree of professional autonomy. Providers who are interested may also receive training and participate in wound care evaluations and procedures, creating an opportunity to expand their clinical skills and scope of practice.
Position Responsibilities
The Advanced Practice Provider will:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and vital-sign evaluation.
- Evaluate cardiovascular symptoms, medical conditions, diagnostic findings, and treatment responses.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for a diverse range of patient needs.
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory studies, diagnostic tests, and imaging.
- Prescribe and manage medications within the provider’s licensure and scope of practice.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment recommendations, risk-factor reduction, and follow-up care.
- Document assessments, clinical decisions, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, clinical staff, and outside healthcare providers.
- Perform wound care assessments and procedures when trained and interested.
- Work independently within established clinical protocols, with physician collaboration and support available as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Oklahoma license, or eligibility to obtain Oklahoma licensure.
- Current national certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Cardiovascular experience is preferred but not required.
- Candidates with a genuine interest in cardiovascular medicine and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage patients independently and prioritize responsibilities in a busy outpatient setting.
- Interest in wound care is a plus, but wound care participation is optional.
- Prescriptive authority and required controlled-substance registrations, as applicable.
Training and Professional Development
The selected provider will complete an individualized training and onboarding period of approximately one to three months, depending on prior cardiovascular and wound care experience. Training will be designed to help the provider develop confidence in the practice’s clinical protocols, patient population, documentation standards, and treatment approach.
Compensation
This position offers a competitive base salary plus a performance-based bonus incentive. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, schedule, and the scope of responsibilities.
