Fresh Vibes Market is a mobile farm fresh market featuring low cost produce from The Campaign Against Hunger’s Urban Agro-Ecological Centers and local farmers. The Campaign Against Hunger’s Fresh Vibes Market provides fresh, affordable produce to the community and additional services. The mobile unit is equipped with a mobile classroom, a benefits access area, produce storage bins, as well as a cook-top and refrigerated areas for the storage of prepared foods. This allows TCAH to offer a wide variety of services in a single stop, including one-on-one benefits counseling, tax preparation and filing, SNAP screenings, fitness classes, nutrition workshops, cooking demos, as well as fresh produce and other healthful foods. Thanks to the support of the Fresh Vibes Market, we expect to continue making progress in fighting obesity, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and other chronic diet-preventable illnesses, just as we have been doing for more than 20 years.

OUR STORY Dr. Melony Samuels, Executive Director and Founder of The Campaign Against Hunger (TCAH), is a true community champion. In 1998, her compassion led her to help a struggling mother out of her own pocket—an act that sparked a mission. She knew the fight against hunger required more than kindness; it needed a community effort. Since then, TCAH has grown from a small church basement pantry into a powerhouse addressing youth empowerment, nutrition education, and community engagement. We've undergone name changes (Grace International Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger TCAH), served 150 zip codes, and championed food justice across NYC. Our once-small pantry is now a SuperPantry and model of client choice. We offer nutrition classes, cooking demos, urban farms, and youth jobs through our Green Teens program. We also provide services like SNAP enrollment, health insurance signups, and tax prep. As hunger, inequality, and health disparities persist, our work continues to evolve.
