Gaffney Insurance Agency has an opening for a customer service representative. Our family owned agency has been serving Kokomo and surrounding areas for 61 years. We specialize in both personal and commercial insurance with multiple carriers to offer our customers. As an independent agency, we take price in shopping for our customers to provide them with top coverage at an affordable rate.
We are looking for someone who is looking for a career and not just a job. This position will mainly be clerical work.
Candidates will work Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Employees receive an allotted amount of PTO, sick days, and paid holidays.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Answering inbound phone calls from customers and company representatives
- Take detailed notes from phone calls documenting customer changes and requests-
- Processing customer's payments
- Processing policy changes- agents will oversee
- Compare policy renewals- agency trained
- Input new customers into management system
- Processing daily mail
- Ensure proper documentation is completed for new or existing customers
- Ensure accurate balancing of cash drawer
- Build customer relationships-earn their loyalty and trust
Qualifications/Skills required:

- Strong communication skills with customers and underwriters
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Professional phone etiquette skills
- Ability to handle multiple tastes simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Outlook
- Ability to take detailed notes on customer phone calls

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
