Position Summary:
The Country Club of Maryland is seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This individual will deliver exceptional service to members and guests while preparing a variety of beverages in a high-quality, professional setting. The ideal candidate is reliable, knowledgeable, and thrives in a service-oriented atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests following standard recipes.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service at all club bars, events, and dining areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area, including restocking, polishing glassware, and ensuring all tools are sanitized and ready.
- Monitor and manage alcohol consumption to promote responsible service.
- Engage with members in a friendly and professional manner, building rapport and promoting club standards.
- Accurately handle POS transactions, including member charges and cash handling when applicable.
- Support banquet and event bar setups as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years bartending experience in an upscale dining or private club setting preferred.
- Knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, wine, and beer.
- TIPS or Alcohol Awareness Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight (up to 25 lbs).
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
