Duties
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Assist with food production, including portioning, plating, and presentation to ensure appealing meals for residents or patients
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, dining areas, and adhering to sanitation protocols
- Support food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and prevent contamination
- Bus tables, clear trays, and assist with meal delivery to ensure efficient service flow
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste
- Focusing heavily on hot food programs (like hand-breaded Chester's Chicken, sides, and the heated display cases)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation practices
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Ability to follow detailed instructions related to food handling and safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department work is a plus
- Basic kitchen experience including cooking, cleaning, and meal preparation techniques
