The impact you will have: As a Warehouse team member, you will manage inventory, systems, and processes in an efficient and safe manner to meet customer needs and support an enriching educational environment for our students, staff, and community. You will receive, store, and distribute materials while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. As a Warehouse team member, you will be assisting with operations of the warehouse and be responsible for (but not limited to):

Receiving, inspecting, and organizing shipments of supplies, materials, and equipment.

Filling and preparing orders for delivery to school sites and district departments.

Maintaining accurate inventory records through established systems and procedures.

Ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials, including use of forklifts and pallet jacks.

Monitoring product conditions, reporting damages, shortages, or discrepancies.

Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with district safety standards.

Assisting with deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and accurate routing.

Collaborating with team members and departments to support daily operations and customer service needs.

Demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail in all warehouse activities.
What you need for this position:
- Completion of 12th grade or equivalent

SB 848 Child Safety & Employment Disclosure Requirement
Effective January 1, 2026, in accordance with California Senate Bill 848 (School Employee Misconduct/Child Abuse Prevention Act), applicants for employment with San José Unified are subject to enhanced child safety, training, and employment disclosure requirements.
Under SB 848, schools are required to strengthen background vetting procedures and obtain employment history information related to allegations of egregious misconduct involving students. Former employers may be contacted to release records regarding substantiated findings of misconduct as permitted by law. Failure to provide complete and accurate information regarding prior educational employment or relevant misconduct findings may result in disqualification from the hiring process or withdrawal of an offer of employment.
SB 848 also expands mandated reporter requirements and requires annual child abuse prevention training for employees and certain volunteers by July 1, 2026. All employees must comply with district-adopted child safety policies, including procedures for supervising and protecting students.
