Duties
- Support daily classroom activities by preparing materials, organizing learning stations, and engaging children in educational play
- Assist with supervising children during routines such as snack time, outdoor play, nap time, and transitions
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being
- Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Collaborate with lead teachers to monitor behavioral progress and apply effective behavior management strategies
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Support special education needs by working with children with disabilities or developmental delays using appropriate techniques
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and engagement
- Ability to perform first aid and CPR to ensure children's safety during emergencies
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs to support inclusive learning environments
- Skilled in behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and social growth
