Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate STEM Instructors to join our team for our After School Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
This role involves working with students of varying ages (5-12 years old) and abilities, providing guidance, support, and instruction in a variety of subjects or activities. The Instructor will play a key role in promoting student engagement and success through effective teaching strategies.
Duties
- Implement lesson plans that meet the educational needs of students.
- Manage classroom behavior to create a conducive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to students as needed.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenges effectively.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that accommodates diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Engage students in various activities, including robotics, coding, engineering, science, cooking and more!.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in classroom management and effective teaching methodologies.
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Skills in behavior management to address diverse student needs effectively.
- Background in childcare, teaching or summer camps is beneficial for working with our students.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles.
- Experience in special education practices is a plus for supporting students with unique challenges.
- A passion for teaching and helping students achieve their goals is essential.
