Commercial Construction Superintendent / Project Manager
Location: Stockton–Sacramento, California

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent / Project Manager to manage commercial building projects primarily in the Stockton and Sacramento areas.
Projects typically range from $6 million to $15 million, are generally one to three stories, and include concrete tilt-up, structural steel/red iron, curtain wall, wood-frame, and mixed construction systems.
This is a combined field and project management position requiring someone who can take ownership of a project from active construction through final completion and Certificate of Occupancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field operations and overall project coordination
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, architects, engineers, consultants, and owners
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and construction sequencing
- Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and scopes of work
- Monitor project costs, commitments, changes, manpower, materials, and subcontractor performance
- Identify and resolve constructability, scheduling, coordination, and cost issues
- Conduct project meetings and maintain accurate project documentation and daily reports
- Maintain jobsite safety, quality control, and organization
- Coordinate commissioning, punch-list work, owner turnover, warranties, O&M manuals, as-builts, and final documentation
Inspections, Municipal Approvals & Closeout
A significant responsibility of this position is driving the project through inspections, municipal closeout, and issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy, including:
- Coordinate building department, fire, life-safety, and other required inspections
- Manage and track special inspections, testing, certifications, reports, and correction notices
- Work directly with building officials, inspectors, special inspectors, testing agencies, fire officials, and other authorities having jurisdiction
- Identify and resolve inspection and closeout requirements before they delay completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and design professionals to resolve outstanding deficiencies
- Manage the project through final municipal approvals and issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of commercial construction experience
- Experience as a Commercial Superintendent, Project Manager, or combined Superintendent/Project Manager
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial projects generally in the $6 million to $15 million range
- Experience with tilt-up concrete, structural steel/red iron, curtain wall, wood-frame, or similar commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and building systems
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans
- Strong subcontractor management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience managing inspections, special inspections, municipal closeout, and Certificates of Occupancy
- Familiarity with Autodesk construction project management systems, including Autodesk Construction Cloud, or comparable construction management platforms
- Working knowledge of scheduling software and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between projects in the Stockton–Sacramento area

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
