Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, individualized daily lesson plans
- Design and maintain effective behavior management programs in collaboration with support staff
- Train, supervise, and guide assigned teacher aides
- Organize and maintain classroom materials and communicate instructional needs to administration
- Maintain professional and consistent communication with parents/guardians
- Complete DLM assessments for identified students as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Principal
Qualifications
- New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) Certification and NJ Elementary K–6 Certification or NJ Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH)
- Experience working with students with autism, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities strongly preferred
