Choice is currently looking for production workers for a client located in Islandia, NY,
1st Shift- 7am to 330pm Full Time Position
Pay Rate: $18.00
Location: Islandia, NY
Machinery & Equipment Operation: Operate production machinery and communicators, following established SOPs and GMP guidelines to ensure optimal processing conditions. Ensure all parameters are maintained according to instructions from designated personnel.

- Material Handling: Safely handle materials, including raw materials, in-process items, and finished products. This includes loading materials into appropriate machinery and ensuring smooth transitions between production stages.
- Operational Monitoring: Regularly inspect equipment and materials, ensuring they are in proper working condition and meet production standards. Notify appropriate personnel of any irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
- Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Adhere to company cleanliness standards and protocols to ensure the production floor remains conducive to both efficiency and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols diligently. Always wear appropriate protective equipment such as safety glasses, ear protection, and other required safety gear. Be proactive in reporting any safety hazards or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with supervisors and team members. A collaborative and proactive approach is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring all processes and materials meet established quality standards. Basic mathematical skills are required for accurate measurement and calculations.
- Language Skills: Basic proficiency in English (reading and writing) is preferred to ensure understanding of instructions and safety protocols.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience and knowledge in the roller compactor area.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular walking, sitting, talking, and hearing are necessary throughout the day.
- Ability to use hands to operate controls and equipment, as well as reaching with hands and arms.
- Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds is necessary.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
