Senior Interior Designer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly talented designer with refined design sensibilities, exceptional technical expertise, and a passion for delivering extraordinary homes. The ideal candidate possesses an impeccable eye for detail, extensive experience managing luxury residential projects, and a proven ability to source custom furnishings, lighting, fixtures, and finishes at the highest level.
This leadership role requires a collaborative professional who can confidently guide projects from initial concept through final installation while mentoring junior designers, managing project timelines and budgets, and maintaining the exceptional standards our clients expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead luxury residential interior design projects from concept development through final installation.
- Manage multiple high-end custom home and renovation projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Develop comprehensive design concepts, finish palettes, furniture plans, and presentation materials.
- Source and specify luxury furnishings, custom furniture, lighting, decorative plumbing fixtures, materials, textiles, artwork, and accessories from leading manufacturers, artisans, and showrooms.
- Produce and review construction drawings, interior elevations, furniture layouts, and detailed design documentation.
- Collaborate closely with architects, builders, contractors, consultants, and vendors throughout every phase of construction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with discerning clientele through exceptional communication, professionalism, and service.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, specifications, presentations, and installation schedules.
- Provide regular project status updates and budget reports to leadership and clients.
- Mentor and oversee junior designers, ensuring design excellence, accountability, and consistency across projects.
- Conduct site visits, field measurements, construction meetings, and installation oversight to ensure flawless execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of luxury residential interior design experience.
- Significant experience leading ground-up custom homes, large-scale renovations, and high-end residential construction projects.
- Previous leadership or project management experience overseeing designers and consultants.
- Exceptional design aesthetic with an impeccable eye for proportion, scale, materials, and detail.
- Extensive experience sourcing luxury furniture, custom millwork, lighting, plumbing fixtures, finishes, and decorative accessories.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, specifications, and procurement processes.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and client relationship skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within project budgets and timelines while delivering exceptional results.
- Highly collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented.
Technical Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (5+ years)
- Advanced proficiency in SketchUp (5+ years)
- Proficiency in Revit (3+ years)
- Experience producing 3D models and interior elevations
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
