Shape the Quality Strategy for a Growing SaaS Platform
We're looking for a Lead QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering exceptional software experiences and building a culture of quality. This is a highly visible role where you'll own testing strategy, drive release readiness, and help scale automation across a modern SaaS product.
You'll work closely with Product and Engineering teams to identify risks early, validate critical user workflows, and establish quality standards that enable rapid, confident releases. This role combines hands-on testing, test automation, CI/CD integration, and strategic ownership of the overall QA function.
What You'll Do
Own Product Quality

Serve as the customer advocate and champion for product quality.

Partner with Product and Engineering to review requirements, identify edge cases, and validate key user journeys.

Create and execute comprehensive test plans for new releases.

Lead exploratory testing efforts and establish release sign-off criteria.

Define quality metrics, bug severity standards, and release readiness processes.
Build Automation at Scale

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end and API automated test suites using TypeScript and Playwright.

Convert critical manual test cases into efficient automated regression coverage.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve test reliability.

Establish scalable automation frameworks and best practices.
Drive Release Excellence

Partner with Engineering and Product teams to support release planning and execution.

Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Build and maintain quality gates, smoke tests, and deployment checks.

Help enable fast, reliable, high-confidence software delivery.
Leverage AI-Powered Workflows

Utilize modern AI tools to accelerate test creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Generate test scenarios, analyze failures, and identify edge cases using AI-assisted workflows.

Continuously evaluate emerging technologies that improve QA efficiency and effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience in a fast-paced SaaS startup, or high-growth technology environment.

Strong experience with TypeScript.

Hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks with Playwright or other modern tool.

Experience with release management and production deployment processes.

Practical experience working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Experience leveraging AI tools within engineering or testing workflows.

Strong product intuition and a customer-first approach to quality.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in early-stage or high-growth startup environments.

API testing experience.

Working knowledge of SQL.

Experience with feature flags, canary releases, or progressive deployment strategies.
