On-Your-Lot Custom Homebuilder | $100K–$165K + Bonus
You became a builder to build — not to sit in sales meetings or push paper. This is a hands-on leadership seat where you run the construction of an entire division, and you’re measured on one thing: every home delivered on time, on budget, with a customer who’d send you their neighbor.
We are a growing on-your-lot custom homebuilder across North and South Carolina. We build homes on our customers’ own land — which means real responsibility, real ownership of your jobs, and real windshield time. We’re looking for a builder-leader to own and grow the construction of a division.
What you’ll do
Start as a working builder — in the field, hands dirty, running your own jobs from dig to final walk.
As your division grows, build and lead a small team (1–3 field/build staff) toward a run rate of 40–50 homes a year.
Own the full build: schedule, quality, cost, and the customer experience — start to finish.
Keep every home on time and on budget, and keep the customer happy the whole way through.
Train, develop, and hold your team to a clear, consistent standard. This role is NOT sales. You don’t sell. Contracts come to you ratified — your job is to build them right.
A desk job. If you want a corner office, this isn’t it.
What we’re looking for
A builder who genuinely likes being in the field — and doesn’t mind the miles. On your-lot means real driving between sites, and the right person enjoys the windshield time.
A proven track record running residential construction on time and on budget. Someone who can train and manage a team — not just run their own jobs well. Purchasing and/or estimating experience is a strong plus, but not required.
Someone who takes care of the customer, does the right thing, sets clear expectations, and delivers.
