Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, performs the sorting and filing of mail to support the efficient operation of the mail center. Filers work schedule will vary and overtime is mandatory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Unload APC from truck.
2. Process all mail through trained procedures.
3. Keep area clean.
4. Keep files cleaned and tubbed, if necessary.
5. Distribute mail to members.
6. Place mail in outside lock boxes for resident mail service members.
7. Distribute miscellaneous or office mail to appropriate department.
8. Monthly tub and file check.
9. Research problem and no-code mail.
10. Work assigned schedule and comply with timekeeping policy.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Requires the ability to file numerically.
2. Must have the ability to deal effectively with club staff, club members and outside vendors or resources with whom we do business.
3. Some assignments require judgment and initiative.
4. Must have good research abilities and interpersonal relations.
5. Must enjoy working with and communicating with people.
6. Attention to details.
7. Organizational Skills.
8. Computer skills.
Physical Standards:
Job requires a lot of standing, walking, bending and lifting (5-50 pounds).
Usually works in a well-lighted, well-ventilated area.
Part of the work may involve some eye strain.
