Our work supports infrastructure, land development, redevelopment, and public and private projects by identifying environmental challenges early and helping clients move forward safely and efficiently.
We are seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with 8+ years of experience to manage industrial hygiene and occupational safety projects across diverse client sectors. This is a key, high-impact role supporting the continued growth of our Industrial Hygiene & Occupational Safety practice. The ideal candidate is both a strong technical industrial hygiene practitioner and an experienced project manager who can also contribute to nurturing client relationships and engaging in business development.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage industrial hygiene and safety projects from proposal through completion
- Serve as primary client contact and trusted advisor
- Conduct and oversee exposure assessments (chemical, physical, biological hazards), air monitoring, IAQ, and hazardous materials investigations
- Develop sampling plans, interpret data, and deliver defensible reports
- Recommend engineering controls and risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulations
- Manage project scope, budget, and performance
- Mentor junior staff and support team development
- Support proposals, client meetings, and business growth initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) – required
- 8+ years of industrial hygiene experience (consulting preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or Engineering)
- Strong background in exposure assessment & IH sampling strategies; OSHA/regulatory compliance; and industrial or multi-sector environments
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Federal)
- Ability to conduct field work (in some instances for long hours and during all seasonal weather conditions)
- Proven project management and client-facing experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to operate industrial hygiene field instruments and data collection systems (e.g., air sampling equipment and direct-reading instruments)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prepare technical reports.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to diverse audiences
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve the goals and schedule of a project
- Proficiency with standard business and technical software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Outlook).
Additional knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas will strongly be considered:
- Developing remediation and abatement strategies and providing oversight of remediation activities
- Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
- Experience with Deltek Ajera software or similar ERP or project management systems
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credentials
- AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
