Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled class A CDL truck driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting loads. This job requires being able to operate safely a dump trailer. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism while interacting with customers during stressful situations. The position starts at $22.50/hour with a review after 60 days. Time and a half for overtime. Hourly wage determined by experience and driving record. Typical week is 40-50 hours depending.
Duties
- Our shop is based out of Lexington, NC.
- Most hauls are local. Some opportunities to haul to other areas within NC.
- Must have valid class A CDL and be about to pass a background check and a drug test prior to onboarding.
- Tanker endorsement a plus.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid class A CDL driver's license and appropriate endorsements.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair preferred.
- Familiarity with load unloading procedures and safety protocols.
- Prior heavy trucking a must.
