Position Overview
Legacy Personnel, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery / Cardiovascular Intervention (CVI) for an opportunity at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, PA. This role offers a dynamic mix of inpatient, surgical, and outpatient responsibilities within a respected cardiovascular and cardiothoracic program.
Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (includes 30-minute lunch)
- 5 days per week total
- 4 days inpatient/surgery
- 1 day outpatient clinic
Practice Setting
- Inpatient hospital-based care
- Surgical assistance in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic procedures
- Outpatient clinic follow-ups and evaluations
- Collaboration with surgeons, physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams
Types of Cases
- Cardiovascular surgery cases
- Cardiothoracic surgery cases
- Pre-operative and post-operative patient management
- Complex cardiac and thoracic patient care
Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Evaluate and manage inpatient and outpatient cardiac patients
- Perform rounds, assess post-operative patients, and coordinate care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests under supervising physicians
- Assist with procedures, wound care, and treatment planning
- Provide patient education regarding treatment and recovery
- Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation
Requirements
- Board Certified Physician Assistant
- Active Pennsylvania State PA License
- DEA License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Experience in cardiovascular and/or cardiothoracic surgery strongly preferred
