American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a compact or OK RN license and at least 2 years of experience.
-
Hospital-based Labor and Delivery (LDRPN) unit providing care to expectant mothers and newborns
-
Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
-
13-week assignment length
-
Up to 6 weekend shifts required based on department needs
-
Holiday coverage required as needed per department needs
-
Active RN license (Standard or Compact/OK) currently in hand
-
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required

Current BLS certification (AHA) required
-
NRP certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) preferred

Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful environment

Provide direct nursing care including monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, pain management, and assisting with vaginal or surgical deliveries

Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care

Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating changes in patient condition

Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team

Educate families on postpartum recovery

Follow Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
