Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead or Lead in Training to oversee daily warehouse operations and support team performance. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining productivity standards, and promoting a safe work environment within a cold storage facility.
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM start time
Hours: 8–12 hour shifts as needed
Pay: $19.00–$23.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise warehouse operators during daily operations
- Serve as acting point of contact in the Supervisor’s absence
- Coordinate workflow to ensure timely storage, picking, and shipping of products
- Monitor productivity and provide coaching and training as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and food defense requirements
- Assist with loading/unloading and operating equipment when needed
- Communicate with supervisors and upper management regarding workflow and operational needs
- Inspect shipments for accuracy
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Previous lead experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment preferred
- Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for extended periods
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
