Prairies Edge Cabinets is a full custom cabinet shop specializing in medium to high end residential cabinets. We are looking for a candidate with a strong attention to detail who wants to continue to grow in their career. 2-3 years of custom shop experience, cabinet installation or finish trim installation required
Experience staining and/or painting is a plus. Must be able to read a tape measure and cabinet drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble high-quality cabinets according to shop plans
- Operate woodworking machinery including but not limited to table saw, router, shapers, edgebanders, CNC routers and sanders
- Differentiate between and construct frameless and face frame cabinets
- Capable of lifting heavy materials (over 50lbs)
- Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Work well in a team atmosphere
Required qualifications:
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Good physical stamina and strength
- Ability to read blueprint and technical drawings
- Measure accurately with tape measures and understand fraction to decimal conversions
- Strong understanding of material properties and cabinet construction techniques
