Job Summary
If you're interested in an Entry Level Laboratory Technician job, then this is the best role for you! In this role, you will support the accurate and timely distribution of samples to internal and external customers. These samples are used to evaluate North America and Global Development studies that support the registration and re-registration of crop science products.
Job Description
- Process sample orders using internal sample management applications.
- Prepare sample orders for shipment and attach Safety Data Sheets (SDS) when required.
- Package and ship samples in compliance with IATA and DOT regulations, including scanning, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Assist with international shipments and communicate shipping details.
- Conduct and reconcile sample inventories, maintain inventory records, and generate Excel inventory reports.
- Receive incoming packages and maintain accurate receiving records.
- Maintain Certificate of Analysis (COA) records for regulated samples.
- Assist with the secure storage and handling of regulated samples in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Fill and label sample containers while following all safety policies and procedures.
- Prepare analytical standard aliquots following established safety guidelines.
- Identify questionable sample conditions and report concerns to the supervisor.
- Read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for proper chemical handling.
- Maintain and organize SDS documentation for inventory.
- Manage bulk inventory by labeling, scanning, and storing materials in the appropriate locations.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing laboratory supplies.
- Support the team with additional tasks as needed.
- Maintain compliance with IATA, DOT, safety, and quality procedures.
- Report discrepancies, system issues, and sample processing concerns to the appropriate representative.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of laboratory operations and sample handling.
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices.
- Experience with inventory management and maintenance.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience in logistics, shipping, or inventory operations.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment (including restaurant or warehouse experience).
Education/Training/Certifications
- Associate degree or its equivalent and 0-3 years of related experience
- Preferred Degree in the Science field
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Shift: 08:00AM - 4:30 PM
- Worker Break Schedule: One 30-minute lunch unpaid, Two 15-minute breaks paid
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $17.68 to $25.68 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
