Position Overview
Bales Security is seeking professional Unarmed Security Officers for assignment at our Sarasota area. We are looking to hire an individual that has a strong work ethic and is willing to do a professional job.
The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, customer-service oriented, and capable of maintaining a safe and secure environment while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Florida Class D Security License is required
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the assigned location is required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports
- Basic computer and technology proficiency
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to pass all required background screenings
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned properties and facilities
- Observe and report suspicious activity, security concerns, and safety hazards
- Control access to client sites and assist visitors as needed
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Contact law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Complete daily activity reports and incident reports
- Monitor surveillance systems and security equipment when assigned
- Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or related experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience working in schools, banking, commercial, or other professional environments
